as i mentioned in my last post, joe and i got engaged in paris almost 5 months ago. time has flown by! we’ve started wedding planning and are thankful for the luxury of taking it easy. we’re still 440 days out from the big day. we nailed down some of the big checklist items, like setting a date, booking a venue, securing a photographer, and saying yes to the dress. :)
last month, i got to ask five of the best ladies in my life to be a part of my bridal party and wanted to share this fun, DIY idea i had the pleasure of gifting them.
this year, my entire group of childhood friends got engaged, got married, or are getting ready to tie the knot. it’s such an exciting time of life, and i couldn’t be more thrilled for my gal pals. with that, of course, comes lots of celebrating! i’ve had the privilege to help plan several bridal showers and bachelorettes this summer. i’m no expert, but i thought it’d be nice to share some fun tips, tricks, and ideas i’ve picked up along the way.
i always rave about how much i love the west coast, but something i do love about the east coast are the seasons! i probably take this for granted all too often. besides the holiday season, autumn is probably one of my favorite times of the year. brisk weather, booties, vests, hot chocolate – yay! i also love watching the trees slowly change from green to a beautiful mix of red, orange, and yellow. God’s creations are nothing short of amazing.
the weather has been so warm lately, so i visited lake needwood in rock creek regional park a couple of times this week with my dad to snap a few photos. i always admire the view when i’m driving by during my morning commute.
